Terms of use
These are the terms for using Raising Your Child. By using the site or the app, you agree to them.
Last updated 4 October 2026.
What this is
Raising Your Child is a free web app that helps two parents answer the same parenting questions, compare their answers and decide together. We may change it, add to it or stop offering it at any time.
Not professional advice
Everything here is general information to help two adults talk. It is not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. The disclaimer explains this in full and is part of these terms.
Who can use it
You must be an adult to use the app. If you create an account, use an email address you control, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
Your answers
What you enter stays yours. You allow us to store it and show it back to you, and to show a snapshot of your plan to anyone you give a share link to. How we handle it is set out in the privacy policy.
Our content
The topic pages, guides, text and design belong to Raising Your Child. You are welcome to link to any page and to quote short passages with credit and a link. Please do not republish the content wholesale or present it as your own.
Fair use of the service
- Do not try to break into the service, disrupt it or reach other people’s data.
- Do not use it to break the law or to harm anyone.
- Automated access is welcome where it follows the site’s robots.txt and does not overload the service.
We may suspend access that breaks these rules.
Links to other sites
Topic pages link to sources and other websites that we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or for how they handle your information.
No warranty
The service is provided as is. We work to keep the information accurate and the app available, but we do not promise that it is complete, current or free of errors, or that your saved answers will never be lost. Keep your own copy of anything important; the Compare page can export one.
Limit of liability
The decisions you make for your family are yours. To the fullest extent the law allows, Raising Your Child is not liable for loss or harm that results from using the service or relying on its content. Nothing in these terms removes rights that the law says cannot be removed.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new version.
