General information only

The content on this site and in the app is general information. It is not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and it does not take account of your pregnancy, your child’s health or your family’s circumstances.

Questions about your pregnancy or your child’s health belong with your doctor, midwife or pediatrician. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

About the evidence labels

Each decision carries a label, from Well established to Your call, and a short note on what research and official guidance say. These are our own summaries. They can be incomplete or out of date, and guidance differs between countries and changes over time. Each topic links to its sources so you can check them. The About page describes how topics are researched.

The decisions are yours

The app lays out options without ranking them. It does not tell you which choice is right, and what you decide for your family is your own responsibility.

Not therapy, and not a legal document

The app is not therapy, counseling or mediation, and it will not resolve a serious conflict on its own. If arguments are frequent or feel unsafe, see a qualified therapist or counselor.

A plan made in the app is a record between the two of you. It is not a custody agreement or a parenting plan that a court will recognize. For those, speak to a family lawyer or mediator.

Other products and websites

Where the site describes other products, such as on the Alternatives page, the descriptions are based on each product’s own public information and may have changed. Raising Your Child is not affiliated with them. Links to outside websites are there for reference; we do not control their content.
